General Manager, Korea
You will be responsible for growing the business revenue in Korea including B2C, B2B, OEM and Intercompany sales. Increase bottom line performance in line with Corporate requirements of grow revenue and OI. This involves:
Identify and recommend long-term strategies for Korea business and develop corresponding business plan and strategies for the unit.
Achieve the AOP and support LRP activity that clearly highlights the opportunity for Korea business. This should include a comprehensive diagnose of the competition, the customers, market growth rate, profitability, etc.
Lead and support sales force with a value proposition that differentiates Korea business in the eye of the customers. Take lead position to build specific targeted customer strategies and action plans.
Advise and consult on critical negotiations to sell products. Develop close relationships with major accounts, dealers/distributors, key executives of OEM, user and related industries to support unit sales efforts with major and competitive accounts.
Develop appropriate distribution channels and preserve the level of business activity and profitability among dealers to foster their continued growth and success. Manage performance of Sales organization to assure compliance with dealer agreements and corporate policies and procedures.
Manage SG&A to a level in line with Best Practice and Growth initiatives. Drive continuous improvements in back office productivity and technic utilization. Manage sales forecasting system assuring accuracy and feedback. Ensure optimal inventory levels are maintained while controlling investment.
Manage performance of direct and indirect reports assuring compliance with corporate policies and procedures. Organize workload manpower planning, employment and employee development programs. Maximize and develop people and company capabilities in line with future requirements and succession needs.
Overall responsibility for country activities including operations, Engineering, Sales and Marketing, Human Resources, Logistics, Finance and Accounting.
Other ad hoc tasks assigned by supervisor.
With the leadership of the global and regional team, this role will Leverage the product and capability of Allegion Korea to design, align and manufacturing products for the region and global.
Develop Allegion Korea as the electronic products platform which will be the continuous growth enabler for the region.
Who You Are:
The successful General Manager of Korea will be:
Education: Bachelor or master’s degree in business administration, or equivalent business experience. MBA or EMBA is a preferable.
Business experience: 20+ years of progressively sales leader experience for a developing company or division of a large corporation. Import and export documentation experience required
Understanding of how to develop and implement business strategies. Understanding of how to lead and manage teams.
Good knowledge of Korea business environment and its dynamics.
Strong leadership capability, focus on driving and sustaining change, meanwhile can create an engaging and inspiring working environment
Great team player, good at collaboration with colleagues outside of Korea operations
Track record on developing and achieving profitable growth plan
Appreciate and demonstrate core value aligned with Allegion’s, be a good role model as leader
Fluent English in speaking, writing, listening and reading is a must.
