Production Supervisor - Frame Assembly
At Technical Glass Products the Production Supervisor – Frame Assembly will oversee all aspects of the frame final assembly process for the organization. The Supervisor will be responsible for supervising 10+ employees as well as leading daily production operations and coordination of activities with the assembly team. This role will work with other Team Leaders and employees throughout the organization, cooperating to ensure the production processes support the production plan and customer requirements, and assist in problem solving to ensure the safe delivery of a quality product on time to the customer (internal and external).
Establish and manage work cell priorities in support of overall production schedule.
Directly oversee activities of production personnel including timekeeping, workflow, fabrication and assembly methods and work force utilization.
Provide daily job status updates for in process work in assigned areas.
Ensure the flow of materials, parts and assemblies are adequate to meet on-time requirements.
Directly supervise employees in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws:
-> Provide policy and leadership.
-> Appraise performance.
-> Reward and discipline employees as required.
-> Interviewing, hiring, and training.
Serve as voice on manufacturability issues on cross functional teams.
Lead the daily MDI activity for the responsible work cell.
Implement initiatives to improve production efficiency and capacity.
Serve as backup to other supervisors as needed.
Initiate corrective actions to get nonconformance’s resolved.
Operate all equipment per Standard Operating Procedure (SOP), in a safe manner.
Writes SOP’s as required.
Provide exceptional customer service to internal team members and external customers.
Strong leadership skills with an ability to manage both personal and team’s work load and to prioritize multiple tasks.
Demonstrate independent judgment and initiative.
Strong organizational and project management skills combined with a close attention to detail.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Commitment to follow all safety requirements and keep work area clean and orderly
Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
Driven self-starter dedicated to continual process improvement.
Intermediate user in standard computer application software (MS Office - Outlook, Excel, Word).
Working knowledge of capacity planning and ERP systems.
Provide high quality internal customer service.
Attention to detail and the ability to read blueprints, production and technical drawings.
Strong math skills.
Remains alert in a high risk environment.
Maintains schedule and tasks in spite of interruptions.
