Senior Programmer Analyst

As a Senior Programmer Analyst, you will be playing a crucial role in supporting and expanding Infor XA with a primary focus on PO life cycle (Order to Cash) including pick, pack, and ship functionality. You will be working closely with the business and key stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into functional software solutions. You will be analyzing requirements, evaluation options, and making recommendations to ensure scalability, performance and maintainability of the software.

What You Will Do:

  • Collaborate with business users and manufacturing teams to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications for software development.

  • Design, code, test, and implement programs for Infor XA to support enhancements as well as maintenance and day-to-day business continuity.

  • Perform system integration testing and support user acceptance testing to ensure the quality and reliability of the developed applications.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including business analysts, manufacturing engineers, and system administrators, to ensure seamless integration and operation of the Infor XA.

  • Analyze existing programs, identify areas for enhancement, and optimize performance and functionality.

  • Stay updated with the latest Infor XA releases, patches, and enhancements related to manufacturing operations and apply them as necessary to improve system functionality and performance.

  • Participate in system upgrades, migrations, and other IT projects related to Infor XA.

  • Contribute to the overall improvement of development processes, including code reviews, documentation updates, and knowledge sharing.

What You Need to Succeed:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science in Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.

  • A minimum of 8 years of experience in programming on IBM Power Systems/IBM i/iSeries/AS400.

  • Extensive understanding of Infor XA (MAPICS) ERP order to cash PO life cycle.

  • Solid understanding of Infor Power-Link, Net-Link, and/or System-Link.

  • Expert level experience in RPG III, RPG 400, RPG ILE, CL, RPG/SQL, SQL.

  • Proficiency in database concepts and SQL programming.

  • Preference for experience with TLi (Trusted Link iSeries) and/or ANSI-X12 810, 846, 850, 855, 856, EDI standards.

  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze complex business and manufacturing requirements and propose efficient technical solutions.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders in a manufacturing environment.

  • Detail-oriented and committed to delivering high-quality software solutions that meet manufacturing-specific needs.

  • Proven ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet project deadlines in a manufacturing environment.
