Order Management Representative

  • Position Summary: This position will interact with external customers, via email, phone, and fax and in person to provide superior level of customer service. This position will also work closely with various internal departments including sales, operations, marketing, IT and finance to deliver a positive customer experience while meeting our corporate goals and policies. Essential Responsibilities:

  • Edit, enter and modify customer orders in the business operating system in an accurate and timely manner, via Fax and email.

  • Communicate directly with customers both internal and external via phone, fax ,email to identify and resolve a variety of issues and inquiries (change orders, price validation, order clarification, pricing programs and policies)

  • Ensure customer orders are in compliance with Allegion policies and procedures

  • Act as consultant to advise basic product application and alternatives

  • Gather information for measurement, analysis and reporting for department metrics

  • Perform all other duties as assigned. Qualifications Required: Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Ability to communicate in a professional, positive, courteous manner at all times with all levels of customers, clients, visitors and employees

  • Understand basic customer needs and expectations to provide prompt effective resolution to requests

  • Self-motivated with ability to establish priorities and effectively manage time to complete multiple tasks within specified timeframes

  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills with the ability to apply problem solving techniques

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and manufacturing operating systems (AS400) or CRM business systems

  • Ability to work in a team environment

  • Attention to detail is a must

  • Ability to learn a vast variety of products

  • Ability to read and interpret basic drawings

  • Excellent computer and math skills required Education

  • Post-Secondary degree or equivalent years in industry experience Experience

  • Minimum 2 years related customer service /data entry experience

  • AS400 experience is an asset (or) equivalent CRM systems

  • Experience with document imaging software is desired
