Duties and responsibilities

Position summary:

This role is required to support our internal PMO (Project management office) to drive the new product development (NPD) projects to ensure on time achievement of defined deliverables (revenues, costs, margin, quality, …). The support required will cover one or more tasks from the below listed.

The Project Manager will be responsible for the overall success of projects and to drive the process across EMEIA including VAVE projects. He/She will be charged with assessing risk factors to product/process success, creating plans addressing risk factors and providing an array of the best options for management review selection and approval.

  • Plans, deploys and leads Projects that will produce significant cost savings and develops strategic products for the Corporation

  • Responsible for developing, modifying and executing company projects which affect immediate operation(s) and may also have Company-wide business financial effects.

  • Provide leadership to clarify tasks, document plans, provide project updates, team coordination and control in managing projects cross-functionally, including sales, marketing, sourcing, distribution, engineering, manufacturing, etc

  • Attend, in some cases lead, operational and technical meetings to determine project timing, identify risks and develop solution and execution plans to meet projects objectives

  • Successful and on-time execution of all projects avoiding erroneous decisions that could potentially results in critical delays in schedules and/or BU operations which could jeopardize the overall business program.

  • Conduct project status presentation of business and technical nature to PMO, cross-functional groups and peers highlighting risks / concerns, potential projects impacts and possible solutions

  • Obtain a full understanding of projects, their requirements and develop business goals and objectives

  • Effectively use metrics to assess project performance and drive execution

Candidate needs a proven experience in project management possibly in a complex and cross-functional environment along with knowledge of business operations including marketing, business development, sales, finance, manufacturing, engineering and sourcing.

In addition must possess excellent communication and leadership skills; capability to effectively manage risks and drive to meet project commitments despite set backs or challenges in schedule, performance and costs. Capable to solve resources conflicts and capable to facilitate technical problem solving.

Qualifications

Basic Requirements:

  • knowledge of business operations including marketing, business development, sales, finance, manufacturing, engineering and sourcing.

  • 3+ years of project management experience in complex (matrix) organization and projects

  • Bachelor’s degree

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, influencing skills essential along with a bias for action

  • Fluent in English

  • Proficient w/ MS Office tools

  • Ability to travel up to 5%.
