Allegion Project Manager in Everett, Washington
About the Position
The Project Manager is responsible for managing customer orders from the initial receipt of the PO to the completion of the job. You will be responsible for handling all communication and coordination with customers and vendors.You will also be responsible for communication and scheduling of internal company resources such as drafting, and manufacturing personnel. Extensive prior experience as a project manager in architectural and or manufacturing environments will be crucial to your success. This position is on-site and requires little to no travel.

Provides reports, product information, and meet with both architects and contractors to help specify products that we support
Plans, develops, coordinates, and directs large and important customer orders of door and window products for commercial construction projects or several small projects with many complex features.
This position requires the employee to balance multiple projects at one time, often changing priorities mid-stream to ensure timely delivery. Deadlines are often short and workload volumes can be very high. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced deadline oriented environment is a must.
Develops a cost-effective plan and schedule for completion of project, following a logical pattern for utilization of resources. Work is expected to result in the timely and accurate completion of customer orders.
Coordinates work of suppliers and subcontractors working on various phases of the project.
Tracks and controls manufacturing schedule and associated costs to achieve completion of project within time and monies allocated.
Helps determine necessary resources for projects based on cost estimates and budgetary constraints.
Reports to management and customers about progress and any necessary modifications of plans or schedules that seem indicated.
Organization and upkeep of document libraries, ongoing upkeep and revision of documents as products or procedures change.
Assisting with development and training of personnel, and taking responsibility for the accuracy of all documentation that is created.
Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within the building construction field.
Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
Ability to communicate in a professional manner is required.
Performs a variety of tasks.
Works under general supervision.
A certain degree of creativity and latitude is required
Typically reports to a supervisor or manager.
Education and/or Experience:
Associate’s degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Construction project management certificate preferred.
Minimum of 5 years project management experience in custom manufacturing environment.
Proficient working in MRP/ERP systems.
Working knowledge of BOM’s, Architectural take offs, drafting and drawings.
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret complex documents, specifications, blueprints and architectural drawings
Manufacturing, installation, and construction knowledge and understanding.
Must be extremely organized, and exhibit a high degree of attention to detail.
Ability to apply principles of logical thinking to a wide range of intellectual and practical problems
Ability to handle multiple tasks concurrently and work under pressure to meet deadlines.
Skilled problem solving and negotiation skills.
Excellent decision-making skills with strong initiative.
Must have the ability to communicate professionally and effectively (oral and written), as well as the ability to work well with others involved in diverse responsibilities.
Ability to respond effectively to sensitive inquiries or complaints.
Technical writing ability, ability to effectively articulate complex technical subject matter using clear, concise, written English.
General Computer Skills: To perform this job successfully, an individual should be proficient in the following software; MS office, Word processing, Spreadsheets, Flowcharts, AutoCad, Internet, E-mail, Database Tools, Acrobat or BlueBeam,

Under 1/3 of the time , this worker will be; standing, walking, reaching with arms and hands, stooping, kneeling and crouching. Lifting up to 25lbs.
Over 2/3 of the time , this worker will be; Sitting, using hands and fingers, handling, feeling, talking and listening (hearing)
Vision requirements ; Close, distance, color, peripheral, depth perception and the ability to adjust and focus.
Typical business interactions include phone calls, emails and face to face meetings with individuals or meetings with groups of multiple people.
Majority of work involves sitting at a computer for extended periods of time in an office environment. Periodic visits to the manufacturing shop are required for consulting with others on projects under construction.
The noise level in the office environment is low/moderate.
The noise level in the manufacturing area is moderate to high.
Working conditions may include being in an open (shared) cubicle/work-space area
While performing the duties of this job the employee is regularly required to talk or hear.
