Shipping and Receiving Supervisor – Colorado Springs, CO

The Shipping & Receiving Supervisor is responsible for providing daily planning, guidance and supervision to direct reports in the materials operations department. The Leader must also manage shipping and receiving operations for smooth flow of records and documentation.

What You Will Do:

  • Plan all shipping and receiving activities in keeping with the company’s objectives and targets in alignment with all Logistics department direction

  • Ensure timely planning and shipping of material to the end customer or upstream stocking points.

  • Ensure timely unloading, receiving, storage, and delivery of material to the storage locations.

  • Oversee and review the accuracy of shipping and receiving documentation in accordance with all trade compliance regulations. Including matching to open purchase orders.

  • Ensure shipping and receiving functions are performed safely and in accordance with established EHS procedures

  • Maintain and issue shipping and receiving performance KPI’s

  • Identify and implement cost reduction measures to drive operational efficiency

  • Plan for the development of the staff by organizing training sessions

  • Provide leadership…select, develop and evaluate personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the function

  • Manage suppliers and service providers that support site-specific shipping and receiving functions

What You Need to Succeed:

  • Good leadership skills to drive continuous improvements in the shipping & warehouse operations

  • Strong analytical & organizational skills…very detail oriented and be good with numbers

  • Solid interpersonal skills…ability to motivate staff and to interact with various departments throughout the organization

  • Resourceful, can find solutions to unusual problems and meet customer needs

  • Good verbal and written communication skills

  • Expertise with working with Carriers, Freight Forwarders and Vendors

  • Strong knowledge of Inventory control practices

Experience and Skills Required:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience

  • Strong leadership skills, with excellent people focused supervisory skills

  • Minimum of 5 years' experience within operations or warehouse management environments

  • Experience in moving inbound and outbound freight and leveraging freight consolidation techniques

  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office products, ERP software, and other shipping software products

Compensation:

This range is provided by Allegion. Your actual pay will be based on your skills and experience.

  • The expected Base Annual Salary Range: $60,600- $112,500. The actual compensation will be determined based on experience and other factors permitted by law.
