CNC Programmer

The CNC Programmer is responsible for creating NC\G codes for customer orders using templated blueprints for a variety of door and frames hardware configuration, Scheduling Stock to the Fabrication lines to maintain Kanban levels and ensuring Stock OTP throughout the organization. As a scheduling Function they will also be responsible for Scheduling, planning, and issuing small parts production to ensure parts are available at the line when needed.

What You Will Do:

  • Schedule Small parts production

  • Communicate order status as needed and prioritize accordingly.

  • Coding doors and frames according to Template prints.

  • Trouble shooting programing issue coming out of the Auto NC system.

  • Issuing Stock to Fill Kanban and customer orders.

  • Must understand SIOP/forecasting and how it relates to finite scheduling, backlog, customer orders and capacity.

  • Must have Experience in NC/G coding using Fabriwin and Fabrisim.

  • Strong understanding of Stock kanban levels and forecasting stock levels and demonstrate the ability to weigh production and scheduling needs to achieve the desired outcomes.

  • Must be a proactive change agent and possess leadership skills to build and maintain a team-oriented environment while leveraging lean methodologies across departments and functions.

  • Ability to collaborate effectively across multiple disciplines with internal and external resources.

  • Strong interpersonal skills, independent problem resolution, ability to propose solutions or options.

  • Comfortable leading discussion and debate both within peer group and with matrix business partners, operational partners, and leaders.

  • Must be a flexible, decisive, and proactive problem solver.

  • Must be a strong communicator.

  • Must possess strong organizational skills, with ability to work on multiple priorities at once.

What You Need to Succeed:

  • BA/BS degree preferred or 5+ years manufacturing experience

  • 5+ years of previous experience in coding, planning, and scheduling orders for operations.

  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing.

  • Able to provide direction, led meetings and drive the improvement of overall customer satisfaction.

  • Basic mathematical skills

  • Comfortable with MS Office (Word, Excel, Access)

  • Experience in operations, inventory management, scheduling, overall flow of a customer order.

NC Programmer

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :

  • Schedule Small parts production

  • Other projects as assigned.

KEY COMPENTENCIES AND SUCCESS FACTORS:
