Summer Intern - Sales

Allegion provides college students with challenging summer internship assignments and valuable exposure to our company's senior leaders. Through meaningful work projects, our interns are empowered to build diverse skill sets and a strong foundation for a successful and fulfilling career.

This position will be located in our North Carolina Regional Sales Office.


  • Quickly learn our customer base, our sales process and our sales technology and apply that knowledge to successfully complete project

  • Aid with standardization of processes

  • Successfully lead and complete the following project during the summer internship: Security Consultant Project - Review available resources to obtain a current list of Security Consultants in the Carolinas territory. Update Account & Contact records in Dynamics. Initiate touch point campaign with Security Consultants via phone or email correspondence. Capture needs analysis from touch points to establish next steps for the Sales Team.

  • Participate in sales calls with regional sales consultants.

  • Other projects will be identified closer to the start of the internship.


  • Pursuing a bachelor's in Business, Marketing or related field

  • Sophomore year must be complete by the start of the summer internship program (May 2019)

  • Minimum 3.0 on 4.0 GPA scale

  • Demonstrated leadership ability and initiative (e.g. school club officer, sports team captain, resident advisor, etc. or exceptional leadership on school/work projects

  • Passion for creating relationships and learning

  • Competitive and wants to be part of a winning team

  • Highly motivated, creative and forward thinking

  • Excellent communication skills; in particular, must be comfortable creating and delivering recommendations and information to a group

  • Organized and detail oriented

  • Technologically savvy
