Lead cross functional team to build more progressive, efficient, sustainable, and effective master data management design and process focused on Content and Product Lifecycle management inclusive of data flow across systems.
Be the digital business architect working with our technology architecture group and the rest of the business to redesign the product information ecosystem focused on the data flows to support Customer Journeys
Design master data management in alignment with existing business initiatives, focused on product and customer data flows across business and information technology systems (ERP, CRM, DAM, PIM, DW, etc.)
Establish a business-wide, governance approach to ensure long term success and quality of data
Align work with active opportunities of serving new construction and aftermarket business and channels to market, including E-Commerce and other configuration and order management systems.
Enable digital optimization and transformation business opportunities, working with various customer personas to develop new value propositions in the application of product data.
Drive common data architecture and common attributes across brands and businesses, etc. in harmony with NPD, sustaining product management and engineering work streams, configuration design and order management systems.
Strategic Influence and Customer Experience Execution / Customer-Centric Culture:
Design roadmap of current and future states of the product information ecosystem, including data flows and identification of core and common attributes.
Develop master data management strategy and architecture that is scalable to a global footprint and M&A expansion.
Drive implementation and adoption of global product identifier designed with common nomenclature; the simplified, intelligent product nomenclature sequence would enable process automation and digital optimization; design that utilizes only the product data needed at the customer journey step required and carried forward in the process to facilitate efficiency.
Harmonization of relevant product attributes to make it easier for our customers to suite products across various product lines (finishes, lever styles, trims, etc), and adoption into customer systems and processes, as well as internal systems and processes.
Implement Data Harmonization Governance Council and master data stewardship processes, tools and functions.
Visualize and communicate success of data harmonization journey.
Build infrastructure and process to support digital data services to enable transformation of the business.
Portfolio Management and Voice of Customer:
Develop and manage the portfolio and governance requirements within Allegion for relevant stakeholders and content owners to manage Enterprise content and product lifecycle business applications and programs to implement the future state road map in those areas.
Identify and integrate relevant customer personas requiring consideration for product nomenclature standardization and data interface requirements for their needs (e.g., their ERP systems, web content requirements, etc.) to design solutions that enable them add value with their customers and increase relevance as a manufacturer within the overall supply chain; digital sharing of data, providing the ability to maintain relevant Allegion product attributes electronically and in the customer-requested formats.
Establish and drive program management approaches that allow for learning and execution agility for proof of concept, proof of value and scalable implementations, in coordination with the business’s digital strategy.
Drive improvements and investment decisions in master data management, enterprise content and product lifecycle management that are aligned with the business strategies and voice of customer to ensure better commercialization of improvement efforts.
Redefine measures of success and key performance indicators for master data management and enterprise content / product lifecycle management within the Allegion Americas’ business.
Drive an “outside-in” mentality to designing master data management and enterprise content / product lifecycle management applications.
Relationship Management and Collaboration:
Work closely with the key stakeholders across the functional areas responsible for execution of related business application areas to ensure a prioritized, effective and efficient overall application roadmap is implemented.
Drive data management and product nomenclature standardization awareness throughout the enterprise to integrate concepts into related process improvements.
Perform relevant benchmarking within the industry to enhance the master data management and enterprise content / product lifecycle management performance.
Serve as an internal consultant to other functional areas in the development of business requirements related to master data management and enterprise content.
Lead team members in alignment with Allegion Values, ensure learning and growth opportunities and provide appropriate coaching to ensure deliverables are met, enhance performance and drive genuine employee engagement.
Bachelor’s degree in Technical, Business or relevant field; Master’s degree preferred.
7-10 years progressive experience in data design architecture and master data management techniques
1-3 years’ experience in program and portfolio management
Experience in industries with a combination of configured and SKU-based product management in B2C and B2B environments
Exceptional customer focus with ability to understand customer and channel partner needs in managing products
Proven leadership skills with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels of the organization and across multiple functional areas (e.g., Sales, Engineering, Product Management, IT, Customer Care, Marketing, Operations, etc.)
Ability to develop compelling reasons for action that radically improve customer experience delivery and internal operational efficiencies
Ability to manage multiple aspects and interactions of business processes
Proven process improvement, lean methodology experience
Problem solving ability in a complex environment
Ability to think strategically/critically and problem solve with entrepreneurial commitment to achieving goals
Experience with various approaches of managing product with data warehouse, product information management (PIM), document asset management (DAM) and enterprise content / product lifecycle management applications.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to execute/implement on strategic design
Capability to manage multiple priorities, manage virtual teams and gain cooperation while driving accountability
Collaboration and strong interpersonal skills leading within the organization as a change agent; leading a group of change agents
Ability to understand and implement change management methodology across virtual and co-located team structures including, creating a shared sense of urgency, contributing to shaping the right vision, engaging stakeholders, communicating relentlessly, keeping up the pressure/energy and aligning their organization
