Commodity Management Leader – Manufactured Products:
What You Will Do:
Provide daily leadership and management and support to commodity team members while continually developing and expanding individual and team capabilities
Align with regional functional stakeholders (GISC, Business Teams) to incorporate product and manufacturing strategies into commodity strategies while gaining leadership support
Accountable for supplier performance via supplier risk and performance scorecards, supplier watch lists, managing supplier escalations, and developing performance improvement plans aligned with Operations and Business objectives and strategies
Support development of sourcing processes and business practices that improve overall team efficiency
Lead commodity team members to collect and analyze commodity and market data, and develop and execute comprehensive commodity playbook strategies that exceed both short term and long term KPIs
Accountable for all commercial negotiations and supplier selections within commodities
Identify opportunities for consolidation of suppliers to improve the supply chain design and maximize scale and cost optimization
Partner with regional functional teams to ensure delivery of cost productivity, improved payment terms, and improved supplier quality and delivery
Responsible for management of strategic suppliers through formal Supplier Relationship Management (SRM) process to improve supplier performance metrics including quality, delivery, productivity, and innovation
Engage with NPD Procurement teams to support new product development (NPD) and new technology introduction (NTI), through preferred supplier and SRM programs
Accountable for team reporting and managing of commodity inflation, both mitigation and recovery
What You Will Need to Succeed:
Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Supply Chain, Operations, Engineering or related field; Advanced degree preferred.
8 to 12 years of increasing responsibility in the areas of Strategic Sourcing, Materials Management, Operations, Quality, or related field, including supervisory experience
Strong business acumen and analytical thinking, as well as strong supplier management and contract negotiation skills
Excellent communication skills with the ability to effectively engage and influence at all levels of the organization
Must be a strategic thinker and have demonstrated experience driving strategies and projects
Experience in PCBA contract manufacturing and electronic component sourcing is preferred
Experience in the development and management of a global supply base is preferred
Ability to travel up to 30%
