EHS Coordinator

We are currently looking for a passionate and dedicated health and safety professional to champion and maintain our established safety systems. We are proud of our current EHS system, culture of safety and wellness programme. This is an exciting time to be joining our company experiencing continued business success and growth. We will also be moving into new premises on our current on our site at Avondale, Auckland in early 2020. Our site houses the New Zealand operation including factory assembly, warehouse, engineering, corporate services and sales.

Reporting to our HR Manager, you’ll get involved in:

  • Maintaining and developing our safety system and wellness programme

  • Risk assessments, hazard inspections and accident investigations in accordance with our Corporate reporting systems

  • Coordinating and coaching health and safety representatives in ongoing system implementation

  • Regular reporting of safety and site performance measures

  • Coordinating regular site, job specific and wellness testing and training

  • Working with our Operations Manager to develop and maintain operations machinery maintenance schedules and safe operating procedures

What will make you succeed in this role?

  • Tertiary training and current knowledge in NZ Health and Safety systems and legislation

  • Experience applying health and safety requirements in a factory/warehouse or similar operation

  • Ability to confidently communicate and build relationships across the business at all levels

  • An organised, disciplined and diligent working style
