Director, Global Corporate Real Estate - Carmel, In (Hybrid)

The Director of Global Corporate Real Estate reports to the Deputy General Counsel and has the responsibility to lead Allegion’s global corporate real estate strategy and operations. As the Director, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of our corporate real estate portfolio worldwide, including property acquisitions, lease negotiations, facility management, and workplace strategy. This is a critical leadership role that will shape the future of our organization's global corporate real estate footprint and support our growth objectives.

What You Will Do:

  • Develop and implement the global corporate real estate strategy aligned with Allegion’s overall goals and objectives, considering regional market dynamics and business needs.

  • Manage the global corporate real estate portfolio, including property acquisitions, lease negotiations, and dispositions, ensuring optimalutilization of space and cost efficiency across different geographies.

  • Develop a site and real estate master planning capability and framework and deploy across selected sites.

  • Lead the identification and evaluation of potential corporate real estate opportunities worldwide, conducting due diligence, financial analysis, and risk assessments.

  • Oversee lease negotiations, contract management, and vendor relationships to ensure favorable terms and conditions for the organization in various jurisdictions.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including finance, legal, and operations, to align global corporate real estate strategies with business needs and objectives.

  • Develop and maintain relationships with external partners, such as brokers, landlords, and property management firms, to support global corporate real estate initiatives.

  • Lead workplace strategy initiatives to optimize the utilization and efficiency of office spaces across different regions, promoting collaboration, employee well-being, and a consistent employee experience.

  • Ensure compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and industry standards related to global corporate real estate, including local zoning, environmental, and building codes.

  • Ensure compliance to all applicable company protocols, practices, procedures, and EHS/regulatory requirements.

  • Develop and manage the global corporate real estate budget, including forecasting, cost control, and expense management.

  • Stay abreast of global market trends, industry best practices, and emerging technologies in corporate real estate, leveraging this knowledge to drive innovation, sustainability, and continuous improvement.

  • Provide leadership, mentorship, and guidance to the global corporate real estate team, fostering a high-performance culture and professional development opportunities.

What You Need to Succeed:

  • Bachelor's degree in real estate, finance, business administration, or a related field. Master's degree is preferred.

  • 10+ years of experience in global corporate real estate management, with a focus on strategic planning, portfolio management, lease negotiations, and property acquisitions across different regions.

  • Strong knowledge of global corporate real estate market dynamics, trends, and best practices.

  • Demonstrated ability to develop and execute global corporate real estate strategies that align with business objectives and regional market conditions.

  • Solid financial and analytical skills, with the ability to conduct financial analysis, evaluate global investment opportunities, and manage corporate real estate budgets across different currencies.

  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders at all levels in diverse cultural environments.

  • Familiarity with legal and regulatory requirements related to global corporate real estate, including local zoning, environmental, and building codes in different jurisdictions.

  • Strong leadership abilities, with a track record of building and developing high-performing global corporate real estate teams.

  • Proficiency in real estate software and technology tools, as well as Microsoft Office Suite.

  • Ability to travel up to 25% (Domestic and International)
